"Every child is potentially the light of the world..." – Baha’u’llah
Art connects us across barriers of time, space and language. It celebrates our diversity, brings beauty into the world, and can promote the most noble ideals of humanity. The arts come to life and fulfill their highest purpose when they contribute to advancement of society and the betterment of the world.
At Eaglearts we believe that the arts have the power to transform the individual and society. In our programs, emphasis is placed on positive personal transformation through the development of virtues and an increased awareness of the power of the arts and their potential to educate and inspire. Our goal is to cultivate responsible young artists.
As artists and educators we are committed to the idea that all our participants are “mines rich in gems of inestimable value, endowed with talents and faculties.” When a desire to learn is combined with opportunities in a loving, nurturing, and safe environment, creativity blossoms and magic happens!
Eaglearts Academy offers a dynamic artistic experience that will inspire participants to develop an existing passion, or discover a new one that will enrich their lives and contribute to the lives of others. Every aspect of our day supports this goal.
The day begins with a morning gathering where creative writing exercises, poetry, music, videos, and performances provide inspiration and vision. Throughout the day students take classes from professional artists and are immersed in an atmosphere of encouragement and cooperation as they explore their creative potential.
Down time is also important. We recognize that everyone needs time to unwind, reflect, internalize and socialize. An after lunch siesta, recreational activities, special evening events, guest artists and weekend outings to the theatre and local attractions provide the perfect balance for a well-rounded program.
It is the participants who make Eaglearts a unique experience each year. However, a few things remain the same: new friendships are forged, excellent classes are offered, and individuals discover new gems within themselves and others and generally soak up the joy that abounds.
Learning is successful when it is relevant, exciting, dynamic and especially fun!
Sincerely,
Anisa Skuce and Laura Lee
