General Information about
Eaglearts Academy - Summer Arts Camp

Shawnigan Lake, BC

Location

Eaglearts Academy & Summer Arts Camp is a summer program of the Dwight International School, located on the shores of Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia, Canada (40 minutes north of Victoria). The newly renovated facility has four dormitories, a three-story classroom building, dining room, gym, dance studio, black box theatre, small stage, several portable classroom spaces, a great mountain behind the school and a beautiful lake in front. Summer days in Shawnigan are warm and sunny so most students enjoy some down time with a game of soccer on the front lawn, swimming in the lake, paddling a kayak or just relaxing on the dock. The lakeside setting offers a perfect location to balance learning with summer recreation.

Accommodation

Residential students will be housed in dormitories that are divided by gender and age. Most rooms have a balcony with a lake view and there are usually 4 students per room. Students will have their own bed, closet and locker. There are between four to seven rooms on each floor and each floor has its own bathroom with several sinks, showers and toilets. The dormitories are well supervised with assigned counselors living on each floor. Residents are responsible for cleaning their own rooms. All residential participants pay a $50 room deposit at check-in. The deposit is fully refundable upon determination at check-out time that no damage to the room has occurred. We reserve the right to bill a student for any amount in excess of the $50 deposit if serious damage to the room has occurred.
